Yes, indeed, no single human being escapes feelings of oppressiveness and sorrow as they form part of our condition of existence. Guess that plus the openness of this Haiku makes it relatable to many people. So glad it has also reached you. Thank you, Debby! 😊
I got the inspiration from a painting by Catalan artist Francesc Baiget, where you see clouds hanging with chains plus some more inspiration from the title of a book I have not read called like the first line of the haiku, only in the Catalan language. So glad you have liked my haiku. Thank you again for your time and comment!

You are welcome. Inspiration always comes out of something that actually causes deep positive or negative emotion inside of us. I associate the clouds carrying heavy chains with oppression, not letting be what you want to be. It is related to all kinds of human abuse.
Here I got it when I opened it through the Google Chrome. I have visited this Post as I can see my like. Ohh it was of May 2018.
I liked the middle line
When they carry heavy chains
Beautiful expression.

A beautiful Haiku Marta. I think everyone would have their own guess according to their sorrow? 🙂

Yeah you are right. Life and the way it treats us makes the poetry. For me atleast.
