Lines Of Desire

The sky above you discloses
a handful of stars and shadows.
As you draw the lines of a new day
screams gather in your throat.
Unuttered.
Yet desire is fear’s thaw
so you walk over the threshold
and draw lines of desire,
a new path where you paint
a sunshine of hope for freedom,
a rainbow of all colors
for those who suffer and
for those who deserve a better life.
